The Paris Region Institute, partner of the TouriSME project, is organising a one-day session dedicated to environmental certifications in the tourist accommodation and travel sector.
Participation is intended for companies in the TouriSME program and is also open to other organisations in the sector. The morning will first focus on the means of communication which the companies can benefit from within the framework of the project. A point will then be made on the financing of the certification by the project for companies. The second half of the morning will be dedicated B2B meetings where each company will have to present its activity and its approach or its projects in the field of sustainable tourism. The companies will then be able to meet and chat.
The afternoon will be entirely dedicated to the different certifications in the tourism sector (EU ECO Label, Green key, Travel Life) and to other related themes such as Eco Construction or solidarity compensation in travel offers. The presentations will take place as 30-minute workshops. Companies will be able to participate in several workshops according to their choice. The workshops will be led either by certification experts or by a company testifying on its experience.
The day will end at the MOB HOTEL Paris, a TouriSME beneficiary, which is very committed through its sustainable management plan and its environmental practices concerning the management and reduction of waste, the reduction of water consumption, energy savings, mobility or the awareness of its staff. The hotel has developed an innovative concept in welcoming visitors, residents, artists, associations or business leaders with an original event program including concerts, gallery, pop-up store, Christmas gift workshop and more.
