Our partner Instituto Tecnológico de Canarias has confirmed its next matchmaking event will take place in Madrid, during the International Tourism Trade Fair, FITUR. This time, our SMEs will dive into a practical workshop to learn how to implement sustainable management on their business models, taking care of people, society, and the planet.
The Canary Islands Institute of Technology as a partner of Tourisme’s project is to arrange the fourth and final training and matchmaking event with Spanish SMEs on the 17 and 18 of January in Madrid. The event will take place alongside FITUR, which our beneficiaries will visit as part of their itinerary
The event start one day before FITUR and will contain several activities, including a visit of the fair, and the possibility for you to stay for the entire duration of the fair.
The first day will be dedicated to a workshop on practical implementation of sustainable management, and to a study visit on urban sustainable practices in Madrid. The participants will visit and have lunch at Mo de Moviento, a restaurant hiring people at risk of exclusion. The visit will be followed by a guided tour of Madrid and the SMEs will enjoy an afterwork at SleepNAtocha, first B-Corp certified accommodation in Spain.
The second day will start with a study visit which will introduce the companies to rural sustainable practices in Madrid, with a visit of Castillo de la Corracera, and a visit and wine degustation at the ecological winery La Tierra Calma. The afternoon will be spent in FITUR. This special occasion will conclude with a cocktail party that will be open to a wider tourism professional public.
