Have you registered your action for the European Week for Waste Reduction 2021?

Another edition of the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) is around the corner! Join the Week from 20 to 28 November 2021 and organise an action focusing on waste prevention.

The EWWR is the biggest raising-awareness campaign on waste prevention in Europe. Every year, it involves thousands of people among public authorities, citizens, schools, businesses, NGOs, associations, who organise activities to raise awareness about waste reduction. This year the EWWR is supported by 37 Coordinators, which assist the action developers in the implementation and promotion of the actions at regional and local level. The campaign is financed and supported by a Steering Committee, among the others the European Commission and Committee of the Regions. This year the thematic focus is on circular communities, to highlight the role played by local and small communities to move towards a less-waste world!

A little bit less than a week is left for you to register your action for this 13th edition of the EWWR. Do not miss the deadline, next Monday 15 November 2021 at 9:00 CET.

Are you organising an activity (online event, public celebration, delivery of reusable items, promotion of results on recycling standards, specific class in local schools, etc.) related to waste prevention in those days? Do not miss the opportunity to include your action among the thousands of initiatives taking place within the European Week for Waste Reduction!

Before registering your action, read the Action Developer’s Participation Charter to know the rules that an action has to respect to be accepted.
