Over 30 SMEs benefitted from the latest matchmaking event which took place in Paris on October 13 and 14. Even though most of these were French, a few Italian and Spanish SMEs travelled to Paris for the occasion.
The event was organized by our partner Institut Paris Région and hosted by the Institut Paris Région, and aimed at getting SMEs to exchange best practices, to get inspired and created a common momentum. October 13 was dedicated to networking: After a short presentation of the Institut Paris Région, SMEs were given key information on how to communicate and on the next steps of the project. They then had a chance to introduce themselves before getting to know each other better.
6 workshops took place on diverse eco certifications and on a few projects that were put in place by the beneficiaries. 3 sessions of 30 minutes each were organized so SMEs could attend different meetings and make the most out of it. The day ended with a visit of Mob Hotel, a beneficiary of the project. Mob Hotel is a cooperative bringing many opportunities and stakeholders together. This hotel also is the home to a start-up incubator, a library, shared gardens, pop-up stores… all in an effort to promote culture through social economy to make the traveller feel at home.
October 14 was for French SMEs only and was dedicated to a very interactive workshop with The Climate Fresk. These workshops provide an understanding of how climate change works and the levers to be activated in the professional context, here in tourism.
