Close the Glass Loop, an industry platform that aims at enhancing circular economy for glass, with the objective to raise collection rates to 90% by 2030, held a webinar named “Glass Collection in Touristic Destinations”. For this occasion, the plaform organised a launch event with the presentation of two case studies on glass collection in Spain (Ecovidrio’s “Bandera Verde” initiative) and Greece (HERRCO’s “Blue Bells”), and then a panel debate to explore the challenges and opportunities of collecting more glass in touristic destinations.

The event also welcomed exclusive high level speakers: MeP Claudia Monteiro de Aguiar (EPP Group, Portugal) who was Rapporteur on the EU Strategy for Tourism and Eduardo Santander, Executive Director of the European Travel Commission.
